Weekly Prayer – Saturday

On Saturday I pray for our country and for the nations. Some specific note cards you can make for this day include missions groups, specific countries, exchange students you know, missionaries you support, local government, state government, federal government, politicians, our president. Pray for the Gospel to advance to all nations, peoples and language groups.

The Nations – that God will make a mighty nation in His timing (Isaiah 60:22); that disciples of all nations will be made, baptized and taught to obey the Word (Matthew 28:18-20); that God will send laborers into the harvest fields (Matthew 9:37-38); that God will be glorified in all nations (Psalm 86:9)

Our President – that he will call on the name of the Lord and be saved (Romans 10:13); that he will realize his personal sinfulness and daily need of God’s cleansing power; recognize his personal inadequacy for the task at hand and therefore depend on the Lord; that he will reject all counsel that violates the Lord’s commands (Proverbs 21)

Tomorrow we will wrap up weekly prayer and then finish with talking about monthly prayer and answered prayer.
