II Samuel 22:50-51
“For this I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations, and sing praises to your name. Great salvation he brings to his king, and shows steadfast love to his anointed, to David and his offspring forever.”
David wants to praise God. And not to just praise him, but to sing praise to him. To the nations!
Wow. David is quite excited. He is spilling over with passion and worship. Why?
Because God brings salvation to his king. He loves his anointed.
God’s love and salvation should always lead to praise. This is because God and his acts are worthy of praise and worship. More so than anything else in history. Of all the things we get excited about and delight over, God puts those to shame.
And because we too are offspring of David because of faith like Abraham, we can rejoice with him in this truth too!
