1 KINGS 5:3

You know that David my father could not build a house for the name of the LORD his God because of the warfare with which his enemies surrounded him, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet.

I love that Solomon calls the LORD, David’s God. David knew God on a personal level. It was an intimate relationship. And Solomon knew about it.

It is amazing to me that this isn’t just for David, but for us too. Jesus came and died for us that we can know him personally. To be in an intimate relationship with him and his people.

Thank you Jesus. What an incredible blessing I will never appreciate enough!
