LEVITICUS 9:23-24

And Moses and Aaron went into the tent of meeting, and when they came out they blessed the people, and the glory of the LORD appeared to all the people. And fire came out from before the LORD and consumed the burnt offering and the pieces of fat on the altar, and when all the people saw it, they shouted and fell on their faces.

There is really only one response to seeing God’s glory: worship. face flat.

Take a few minutes to meditate on God. His greatness. His majesty. His power. His unsafeness. But also his goodness.

We are quick to be in awe of things that are quite small, insignificant, and unworthy of our worship.

God, help us to see you as you are. Open our eyes to your glory. Cut through the sin and doubt that keep us from seeing and LOVING you, for when we truly see you as you are in all of your glory, we only have on response that is adequate.
