Ministry Highlights from 2017
There are lots of neat things God is doing at K-State in our ministry. So I want to take a minute to share a few of those things with you from the words of other staff and brag on God…

I’ve spent this semester leading a freshmen Bible study in Wefald Hall. It’s been exciting to see young guys grow deeper in friendship with others, and knowledge and love of God. Freshmen like Brent and Logan have been fun to get to know, to hang out with, and to help them go deeper in their faith. Discipling them along with Jake, one of our student leaders, has been a highlight of the fall semester.

I have loved working with my senior women’s study! I’ve known each of these women for three years now and am in awe of God’s work in and through their lives! Each of them is leading a group of younger women in Bible study and deeply desires to make Christ known all over the world. These women did not come to K-State with this passion, they all came from different places and life circumstances, but God has changed their hearts through weekly Bible studies and Navigator summer opportunities! Each week during our Bible study, I am in awe of how much they love the Word of God and how much they love their peers and family members.

A ministry highlight for me was the Christmas party! Getting to eat desserts and sing Christmas songs with students was a blast, and the Scripture readings about Jesus’ birth were great to refocus and remind us all about the meaning of Christmas!

As the year comes to a close I feel like there are so many memorable things that happened throughout 2017. One of the biggest highlights for me was working with students from our region at our Summer Training Program in Jacksonville. Throughout the summer I had the privilege of being able to watch our KSU students grow and lead other younger students in their walks with Christ. I was also able to build relationships with students from other campus’ such as seniors Morgan (UNL), Haley (UNI) & Becca (WSU). The STP is one of best opportunities offered to our collegiate students and is something I still wish I would have attended as a student.

The highlight of my semester has been co-leading our sophomore guys bible study with a senior, Dayton. It has been awesome to see a mixture of guys bond together, grow in the understanding of the Word and love for Jesus, and have lots of fun. One student, Franklin, has brought his roommate who doesn’t know Jesus. Guys have taken an interest in him and have sought to love him well!

This semester I started to lead a Bible study with Hannah in the Honor’s House with a freshman who lives there, Madison. Through our Bible study we’ve had spiritual discussions in the lobby with many of Madison’s friends. Madison and I lead an evangelistic pizza party in the Honor’s basement and had 8 people in attendance! Next semester, Madison and I are going to start meeting together weekly where I will start to teach her the basics of living a Christian life. I am so excited to watch her continue to grow next semester after she’s grown so much in sharing her faith this semester!
Praise God for students that are moving towards deeper intimacy with Jesus and ministering to the abundant harvest around them!
