“Well we have got to get you guys to 100% by the time you leave for Colorado.”
That is what a couple said to us at a funding visit we recently had. I can’t tell you how encouraging and uplifting and motivating that was. Did I mention too that we had never met these people before the visit?
I’ve had a ton of visits with people and this has been the most encouraging. They were excited about what we were doing. They asked questions and were engaged. They saw the need for college ministry and how critical that stage of life is. And before the night was over they gave us a list of eight references of people that we should also contact.
It is incredible how much this motivated and uplifted us as we were walking out the door. It made other visits that were awkward or uncomfortable or for whatever reason we didn’t connect all the more worth it!
I have been praying Romans 4:17 which says, “as it is written, “I have made you the father of many nations”—in the presence of the God in whom he believed, who gives life to the dead and calls into existence the things that do not exist.”
This was a clear answer to that promise and they don’t even know it. God called into existence a couple to support us that didn’t exist before that night! Praise God.
Seek to make this same impact on others. When others leave your presence, seek to make them encouraged and uplifted!
